The original Google Maps app does not start on the Omoda 5 (C5) head unit. Our build does: it is a unique version of Google Maps for the car screen that you will not find anywhere else. It runs fast, and the interface is optimised for the 1920×720 display.
What Google Maps can do in your Omoda 5
- Live traffic and routes that take road conditions into account.
- Places with reviews, photos and opening hours.
- Satellite view and Street View — see where you are going before you arrive.
- Offline maps — download a region and navigate without mobile data.
MicroG is required. Without it the map stays empty. MicroG replaces Google services on the head unit; it is in the launcher catalogue and installs in one tap.
How to install Google Maps on the Omoda 5 (C5)
In the launcher catalogue, tap “Install” next to MicroG and next to Google Maps, then open Maps.
