Everything about the launcher and installation

$100

The license is lifetime and is bound to your head unit. If you buy the Wi-Fi activator, the launcher costs $80.

⚠ Make sure the launcher suits you before buying. There are no refunds. You get 12 free launches; after that the launcher is removed, but you can install it again for another 12 launches — as many times as you like.

Sometimes there is a connection but no internet, or it drops after a while. The causes vary: whitelists, incompatibility between the phone and the head unit, and others. It is worth checking this before buying — it can be tested on the phone in advance.

In the car settings, disable voice response without pressing the assistant button. The stock voice assistant and the navigator cannot listen to the microphone at the same time. The stock assistant keeps working — you just activate it with the button instead of your voice.

Update the head unit firmware at your dealer. The recommended version is 03.09.06.

A patch is ready. It brings back Wi-Fi, driving modes, daytime running light control and Arkamys sound. Full instructions →

There is also an alternative way without Wi-Fi:

  1. The launcher is installed over a USB cable from a PC. The LauncherInstaller program for Windows installs the launcher over USB. You only need to enable ADB mode in the car — how to do it →
  2. A USB modem gives the apps internet. The head unit sees a USB modem as a network adapter: plug it into USB, the modem connects to the network by itself — the head unit is online. Tested with Huawei E3372h in HiLink mode and ZTE MF79U. Any modem in RNDIS or CDC-ECM mode should work the same way.

Dealers normally pay no attention to the launcher. Even so, since version 2.2.4 the launcher has a service mode that hides it completely without uninstalling: the stock interface comes back and all your settings are kept. To turn it on, tap five times in the middle of the column pinned to the right edge of the screen, where the outside temperature is shown. Tap five more times to bring everything back.

Nine: English, Turkish, German, French, Russian, Kazakh, Malay, Spanish and Chinese. The launcher picks the language of the head unit automatically, and you can change it in the settings at any time.
